The news of the assassination attempt against the US presidential candidate Donald Trump dominates all over the media today. Although it would have been more valuable if someone had predicted this particular event BEFORE it happened, we see that there are indeed strong astrological indications now in Trump's chart of a possible attempt against him!
The main clue seems to come from the extremely flammable and explosive Mars-Uranus Conjunction that is taking places these days (and which "mathematically" peaks on July 15th)! This Conjunction is "falling" right on Trump's MC (in one of the most vitalt points of a birth chart! Our MC is closely related to the overall "structure" of ourselves, to our wider professional/social interactions and with our public image!)
The very fact of the meeting of the explosive Mars-Uranus duet with Trump's MC would be enough to trouble an astrologer. Here, however, other decisive aspects take place. It is impressive e.g. the fact that Trump's natal Mars is at 26 degrees of Leo (Conjuncting his Ascendant, in the last degree of Leo)! This means that the current Mars-Uranus Conjunction, which is taking place at 26 degrees Taurus, forms a PERFECT Square aspect to Trump's natal Mars!
Those of us who are familiar with the "confrontational acuteness" of the Square aspect we can perhaps understand the magnitude of the "explosive elements" now activated in Trump's chart (in reality, the duet of the transiting planets Mars and Uranus did not "square" just his natal Mars but it "synergistically squared" his Mars - Ascendant ultra-dynamic pair)!
Many astrologers have written in the past weeks articles about the current explosive Mars-Uranus Conjunction. I noticed that the majority of them related this specific Mars-Uranus Conjunction with the "awesome and terrible" Algol (a star whose "ecliptic longitude" corresponds to the 26th degree of Taurus).
Personally, I consider Algol's astrological influence "overrated"! This particular star is mainly promoted by a specific group of astrologers who place emphasis on the more "esoteric" dimensions of astrology - and often on magic as well.
I believe that Algol causes considerable confusion among astrologers! It was considered e.g. extremely important in the current attempt against Trump, since its "ecliptic longitude" corresponds, as we already mentioned, to 26 degrees of Taurus - exactly where the current Mars-Uranus Conjunction is peaking!
The gist of the matter is though that a planet/star is not defined just by its "ecliptic longitude" but by its "ecliptic latitude" as well! And the "ecliptic latitude" of Algol lies a full 22 degrees away from the Ecliptic (from the "astrologically active" zone of the sky, that is)!
To realize how huge this distance is consider that the Moon in our sky has a diameter of about half a degree. This means that you need to imagine a column of about 40 Moons stuck on top of each other to figure out how far from the Ecliptic Algol really is!
